Bringing the buzz to Lord's Disability Cricket Day 2025
We were honoured to be part of this year’s Lord’s Disability Cricket Day the biggest ever showcase of disability cricket in the UK and what a day it was!
From busking around the ground to performing in front of hundreds of spectators, our members brought their energy, smiles and music to every corner of the event. We even live-streamed our performance so those at home could join in the celebration too!
A Day to Celebrate Inclusive Sport
The day was a true celebration of everything Lord’s disability cricket stands for from grassroots to elite level. It was inspiring to see how cricket is creating more opportunities for disabled people across the country, on and off the pitch.
We were lucky enough to experience:
- The National Table Cricket Finals were won by Wirral Grammar School
- A softball competition for SEND schools
- A Visually Impaired exhibition game
- And a historic match: the first ever Mixed Disability international at Lord’s, with England beating India to win the T20I series!
What It Meant to Electric Umbrella
Sharing our music with such a passionate crowd made for an unforgettable day. Whether we were performing on stage, busking by the stands, or chatting with visitors, the smiles were everywhere and the energy was electric.
We’re always proud to play a part in events that bring communities together and celebrate what’s possible.
Looking Ahead…
Being part of Lord’s Disability Cricket Day was a real highlight for our members, and we’re so grateful to have been involved. We hope this won’t be the last time we get to bring our spark to a sporting event. Music has a powerful role to play in creating moments, and we’d love to be part of more like this.
