Electric Umbrella launches new song Tikkun Olam (Repair The World)
On Monday February 2nd, Electric Umbrella will release “Tikkun Olam (Repair The World)” a powerful new song first performed at the National Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony on January 27th 2026, in front of Cabinet members, faith and civic leaders, and invited guests. Those attending included Sir Sajid Javid, Chair of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, Rt Hon Steve Reed OBE MP, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government; Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis KBE; Rabbi Daniel Walker, Rabbi of Heaton Park Synagogue; The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally DBE, PC, The Lord Bishop of London, Archbishop-elect; and actors Matt Lucas, Louisa Clein and Leonie Elliott.
Inspired by the Concept of Tikkun Olam
“Tikkun Olam (Repair The World)” was written and recorded by Electric Umbrella’s learning disabled members and professional musicians, alongside musician Elliot Cohen-Gold and children from Kisharon Noé, Clore Shalom and Kerem Schools.
Inspired by the Hebrew concept of Tikkun Olam, the shared responsibility to repair the world, the original song embodies Electric Umbrella’s own values of inclusion and belonging. As well as being released on all the usual streaming platforms, alongside a specially made music video on YouTube, the song will sit within Electric Umbrella’s schools’ resources; encouraging open and honest conversations about identity, prejudice and the power of kindness.

Their inclusive music experiences now reach hundreds of schools nationwide, while their wider programme empowers learning disabled individuals to lead, create and influence within society.
