Tikkun Olam:
Repair the World
Written as a celebration of individuality, ambition and community.
‘Tiikkun olam” is a Hebrew concept which can be translated as “Repairing the World”. It is a powerful idea rooted in kindness, responsibility and the belief that every person has a role to play in making the world fairer, more inclusive and more compassionate.
This campaign uses music, storytelling and lived experience to explore what repairing the world can look like in our schools, communities and everyday actions.

The Story Behind the Song and Campaign
Tikkun Olam was first performed at National Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony on January 27th 2026, in front of Cabinet members, faith and civic leaders, and various invited guests.
The song was specially written by Electric Umbrella’s learning disabled members and professional musicians, created in collaboration with musician Elliot Cohen-Gold and children from Kisharon Noé, Clore Shalom and Kerem Schools.
Through the TIkkun Olam campaign, children are encouraged to:
Reflect on kindness, fairness and belonging, learning what repairing the world means in real, everyday ways
Engage with music as a tool for expression and connection, understanding disability and difference through creativity
Recognise their own ability to make positive change
Why This Matters
In a world that can often feel divided, Tikkun Olam offers a hopeful message: repair starts with understanding, connection and action.
Tikkun Olam reminds us that repairing the world doesn’t require grand gestures, it starts with listening, understanding and choosing kindness.
Together, we can build classrooms and communities where everyone is valued, included and able to thrive.
This campaign supports schools to:
Foster inclusive values and respectful conversations
Celebrate individuality and shared humanity
Encourage pupils to see difference as a strength, not a barrier
It aligns well with PSHE, Citizenship, RE, and whole-school values such as respect, inclusion and wellbeing.
