At Electric Umbrella, Crew Days offer dedicated members the chance to take their involvement to the next level through meaningful, work-based activities.
After gaining experience in our other premium sessions, experienced members can be offered the opportunity to join our team of musical experts to develop new skills, gain hands-on experience, and play a bigger role in the Electric Umbrella community.
Whether you’re leading workshops, visiting schools and corporate organisations, or supporting our performances, Crew Days provide a unique opportunity to contribute to full-day sessions.

Be part of the Express Crew Days, where we bring the Electric Umbrella experience to mainstream primary schools each week. Travel on the big yellow bus with our musicians and deliver vibrant, interactive performances and workshops. Help pupils and teachers celebrate diversity, explore inclusion, and spread joy.

Inspire SEND Schools Across the Country
Join our Music Machine Crew Days and co-lead interactive workshops at SEND schools every week. You’ll also be part of the Music Machine online broadcast, inspiring young people and school communities nationwide. Travel with your friends to schools, colleges, and providers for fully interactive, vibrant music-making sessions that lift spirits and stimulate minds.

Little Brollies is our crew bringing Express & Music Machine to Early Years in schools and nurseries. Our members co-lead fun music classes including songs written and performed by Electric Umbrella alongside familiar favourites, introducing the use of Makaton alongside singing and playing instruments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can join Crew Days?
Anyone interested in music and meaningful activities can join. For new members, contact us to discuss which programme would be most appropriate.
What are the session times?
Sessions are available in both half-days (3-4 hours) and full-days (7-8 hours). Exact times and days depend on the activity type you choose for your session. Please see more information about this further up this page.
Are there any prerequisites for joining?
No prerequisites. All you need is enthusiasm and a love for music.
How do I sign up for Crew Days?
What should I bring to Crew Days?
Just bring yourself and a willingness to participate. A drink bottle is always a good idea. If you doing a full day session, bring some lunch too! Any other specific items needed will be communicated beforehand.
Can I switch between different Crew Day types?
Contact us to discuss any switches, and we will do our best to accommodate subject to space being available in each crew. We encourage members to remain in a crew for a period of time, so they develop experience at delivering the workshops in different schools.
