Andy Prophet
Chief Constable of Hertfordshire Constabulary
Read more
Andy began his policing career in 1996 with Essex Police, where he worked across a wide range of community and local policing roles before becoming Deputy Chief Constable. In 2025, he joined Hertfordshire Constabulary as Chief Constable, leading thousands of officers and staff across the county.
Andy’s connection with Electric Umbrella grew through his support for our “It’s Not a Crime to Be Different” campaign. His belief in the message behind the song helped us dream bigger, reach further and share it with more people.
Without his support, the campaign would not have had the same impact. Andy helped create space for our members’ voices to be heard more widely, enabling the message of the song to grow beyond the music and become part of a bigger conversation about difference, inclusion and belonging.
As an Electric Umbrella Ambassador, Andy helps us strengthen important relationships, grow our voice across Hertfordshire and champion a shared belief in respect, understanding and community.
His leadership, community focus and commitment to positive change make him a powerful champion for Electric Umbrella and a valued part of our Ambassador community.
