What is Shine a Light?
Shine a Light isn’t just a concert but it’s a movement, proving that when we shine a light on inclusion, every voice matters, and every participant shines.
We invite Year 4 children from mainstream schools and SEND schools of all ages to collaborate, celebrate, and unite by taking Electric Umbrella’s teachings about equity, diversity, and inclusion beyond the classroom and into the wider community.
This free transformative experience culminates in an unforgettable live performance at a prestigious venue, showcasing the power of music to unite, inspire, and break down barriers.
What's included?
- Original Electric Umbrella music and ready-to-use music resources.
- A live, communal music-making event at a prestigious venue.
- Opportunities to collaborate online and in person with other schools.
Registrations for 2026 are now closed.

Take the Fun Home:
The Electric Umbrella Kids Club
The music and magic don’t have to stop when the workshop ends. The Electric Umbrella Kids Club is our new online space for children aged 4–11 to explore inclusion through fun, music-based challenges they can do at home or in school.
Every month, there’s a new themed challenge with videos, activities, and downloads — plus a certificate to celebrate their achievements. Families can join in for free, with quarterly drops of brand-new content to keep things fresh and exciting.
Perfect for:
Continuing learning from Electric Umbrella at home.
Inspiring creative play in school or nursery.
Getting the whole family involved in music and inclusion.
