For years, we’ve been turning up in nurseries, Early Years settings and family spaces with guitars, ukuleles, a bit of Makaton, and a lot of singing. Now the music is available to enjoy at home and in settings too.
Little Brollies – Volume 1 is Electric Umbrella’s debut Early Years album: original songs written over years of visiting early education spaces, shaped by the children, families and educators who’ve been asking for them.

For over 12 years, Electric Umbrella’s music has brought people together, celebrating difference, creating connection and helping people feel like they belong.
Through our work in schools, we’ve seen the impact first-hand. Music can help children feel proud to be themselves, while also helping them understand and celebrate others around them. We positively represent the learning disabled and neurodivergent community and we bring joy that fosters confidence, hope and aspiration.
Kindness, belonging and acceptance don’t just matter in the classroom, they matter everywhere children grow and learn: at home, in libraries, hospitals, community groups and children’s centres too.

Why Representation Matters
Children begin forming ideas about difference from as young as three years old. That’s why positive representation matters.
Children need opportunities to see learning disabled and neurodivergent people in joyful, creative and visible ways so curiosity becomes understanding, and understanding becomes kindness.
Our music and videos are co-created with and feature learning disabled artists, giving a platform to voices that are still hugely underrepresented in children’s music. Everything we create comes from a community where people are welcomed, seen and valued.
Electric Umbrella's Kids' Club
How do we make sure our music and our message reaches families wherever they are, in a way that’s age-appropriate and genuinely engaging? Kids’ Club is our answer.
Kids’ Club is more than just online content and resources. It’s music with heart, built around kindness, friendship, joy and a place for everyone to feel welcome.
Inspired by our work with our learning disabled members, Kids’ Club has been created to help tackle social isolation by building connection and community. Whether your family loves the accessible nature of screens or prefers offline activities, we’ve got you covered.
